I. Introduction
Soy sauce is probably man’s oldest prepared seasoning. Soy sauce is one of the most consumed seasoning in East and Southeast Asian cuisine and is still gaining considerable popularity in mainstream American foods, classic Mediterranean dishes or Caribbean cuisine Western countries.
Soy sauce is made using essentially five basic raw ingredients: soybeans/soybean flakes (as the main protein source), wheat/wheat flour (as the main carbohydrate source), salt, water, and Aspergillus oryzae/Aspergillus sojae, salt-tolerant yeast and lactic acid bacteria.
Inherited from our ancient formula and starters, selection of soybean seeds – ensure 100% non-GMO, our Soy Sauce is made using the traditional brewing process. Like fine wine, our Soy Sauce is aged for several months to develop its characteristic rich and mellow umami taste, appetizing aroma and distinctive reddish-brown color and rich nutrition of soy beans.
Usage: Soy sauce is used for a wide variety of both cooked (hot and cold) and uncooked foods, such as sushi, sashimi, stir fried noodles, and any type of fish, meat, and/or vegetable stews.
It is rich in umami which brings out the taste of food – try using it instead of salt and see what difference it makes.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place, avoid direct sunlight. Close the cap after use.
No colourings or additives.
